Dear friend, We write to you and your organisation in order to ask for your partecipation to a european and multinational HIPHOP NETWORKING PROJECT AGAINST RACISM AND XENOPHOBIA. We are going to activate this project on 2O1O so we are looking for partners. We want to invite all organisations and informal groups active in the field of actions against racism and xenophobia thru the involvement of young people and the music and "flow" of the HIP HOP music and culture. Our aim is to GET IN NET all those experiences in order to share experiences ; to exchange best practices ; to give visibility over the local or national level to this kind of actions and projects ; to have a multipling effect so to empower the growing of hip hop projects and young hip hop crews active everywhere in the fight of racism and xenophobia. The NETWORKING will be developed thru a european web site with a databes where each partner will give visibility to the local hip hop against racism experiences, events, productions; the ideation and realisation of a common campaign linked to the HIP HOP against racism and xenophobia theme. The promoter will create a mailing list usefull to manage all the project activity with all the project's partners.

IMPORTANT INFOS on the PROJECT, this is a NETWORKING PROJECT :
A NETWORKING project IS NOT a seminar or a exchange project, the project will be managed by the promoter association YARD in partnership with all organisations and informal groups that will answer to this call for action. The HIP HOP AGAINST RACISM NETWORKING PROJECT is a combination of activities aiming to create a NEW NETWORK under the Youth in Action Programme : this aim will be reach by promoter organisation YARD and all partners by keeping in contact each other by several instruments as mailing list, skype, web site & more.

INFOS ON PARTECIPANTS :
No age limits on partecipants. Also the number of partecipants have no limits, each organisation/informal groups can involve locally alla partecipants they want.

INFOS ON THE PROJECT ACTIVITY :
The detailed project activity will be mailed to all partners that will answer to this call for action. In a brief summary the activity of the project will consist in creating : a mailing list between all the projects parteners; creating a web site where to share the several experiences, ideas, best practices; on the web site give visibility to the work of all partners also thru a calendar where to promote acvitities and hip hop events; creating a call for action to young people as writers oriented to find the best graphic idea for a campaign linked to the concept  "hip hop against racism and xenophobia"; creating a virtual database where to share hip hop songs against racism; creating and sharing between all partners posters or stickers connected to the campaign.

How to partecipate :

Each organisation/informal group have to answer to this mail before October 31th 2009.
Each organisation/informal groups have to fill the partnership declaration :
fill and return back to us the partner form in attach as soon as possible (deadline 30 August 2009).

ABOUT US :
This call and this networking project is organised by Aps YARD. YARD it is the acronym for "Youth Action for Rights Development", Aps means "association for social promotion". This project is developed after many years of experience of our organisation in anti-discrimination actions, movements, campaigns against racism and xenophobia. YARD is a local italian ngo borned in 2001 and active in and around Milan with many connections in Italy and with several european ngos and networks. We spread a wide range of initiatives and actions in the field of multi-culture and active citizenship. We mainly involve high scholl and universitarian students, but not only. Yard's volunteer have actively partecipated in the last years in the visibility and implemantation of the Youth in Action programme and in the "All different All Equals" campaign. In the last year YARD has become part of the UNITED AGAINST RACISM AND XENOPHOBIA network. From 2001 YARD have been active in the support of informal groups of young people in the spreading of actions and projects and in the support of movements against detention centre and right wings organisations. Actually YARD supports many projects, actions and civil society movements also : a milan social centre open all year ( www.cantiere.org ); an italian school for migrants, with legal help desk support; initiative against discrimination on sexual orientation and in particular a "free very body" campaign around every March 8th; an hip hop against racism and xenophobia project called "NO MAMA HIP HOP PROJECT AGAINST RACISM AND XENOPHOBIAt" ( www.myspace.com/nomamaproject ); an anti-fascist hard-core project ( www.myspace.com/velociefuriosi ) ; a "not forget ABBA" campaign and civl society comitate in memory of a young citizen of Milan whose family was from Burkina Faso killed on Sept 2008 by fascist people ( http://abbavive.blogspot.com ); a "milan loves freedom" campaign against fascist and right wings movements for istance against the european right wings; anti-racism formation initiatives in the primary and mid schools ( www.apsyard.org/araxe ) ; productions of books, cds & much more.  la 1° scuola progetti dell'associazione

Nei mesi di Luglio e Agosto 2OO9 YARD è riuscita finalmente ad attivare e supportare una prima vera e propria scuola progetti dedicata alla riflessione intorno ai temi principali fondanti l'Europa e le pratiche di cittadinanza attiva possibili e necessarie a partire da un protagonismo attivo dei più giovani cittadini. La scuola progetti si è svolta attraverso workshops residenziali di una settimana ciascuno. Ciascun workshop ha coinvolto un gruppo di circa 3/7 giovani ragazzi e ragazze di età compresa tra i 15 e i 30 anni. Ciascun gruppo è stato coadiuvato da un formatore e coach della associazione YARD nell'approfondimento e sviluppo dei filoni progettuali del Programma Gioventù per l'Europa / Youth in Action Programme ovvero delle diverse opportunità date dalle diverse azioni del programma. Gli approfondimenti sul programma hanno anzitutto riguardato le tematiche e le priorità del programma ; la metodologia di ideazione e gestione di un progetto in particolare in merito a innovazione, partecipazione, impatto ; la gestione corretta di un progetto in tutte le sue fasi. Tale impostazione è stata coadiuvata da esempi teorici e pratici concreti  ovvero da uno sguardo alle best practices possibile grazie al confronto con progetti precedentementi sviluppati dall'associazione o da altre associazione e gruppi informali di giovani già protagonisti di azioni del programma.La scuola progetti ha coinvolto positivamente oltre 40 ragazzi e ragazzi nell'arco di 2 mesi, ciascun gruppo ha elaborato autonomamente la propria idea concretizzandola nella ideazione e scrittura di un progetto. Tutti i progetti elaborati sono stati presentati in occasione della deadline del 1 Settembre 2009.A prescindere dal risultato dei progetti ovvero dalla loro approvazione o meno da parte della Agenzia Nazionale Gioventù, l'associazione YARD valuta positivamente l'esperimento della scuola sia in termini di partecipazione sia in termine di condivisione di saperi, riproduzione di pratiche di cittadinanza attiava ed elaborazione di riflessioni intorno a temi rilevanti quali diritti, contrasto alla esclusione e alla xenofobia, diffusione di nuovi saperi, ambiente, pace.A tal fine la Associazione YARD si propone di ricercare forme di aiuto e supporto affinchè tale esperimento possa divenire un progetto concreto che almeno 1 volta l'anno possa dare l'opportunità di tale esperienza a giovani dell'associazione ma anche altre associazioni, gruppi informali e singoli ragazze e ragazzi interessati a fare progetto assieme.
